The shop opened its doors in the Fall of 1996, on Beretta’s 470th anniversary.

The first one. Established in 1996 in the heart of Madison Avenue in New York City, the front of the Beretta Gallery has been completely renovated for the new millennium. Modeled after the Villa in Gardone Val  Trompia, home to Beretta’s headquarters, the stone for the facade of the New York Gallery is chiseled by hand and the material was first extracted in Italian quarries and then transported to the United States.

Cav. Ugo Gussalli Beretta wanted to open a shop that encompassed the world of Beretta and wanted to open it in the United States to showcase to the world what Beretta had to offer. He chose Madison Avenue for the first Beretta Gallery, as it was the centre point of shopping in the core of a global city. Before opening, Cav. Ugo reached out to a personal friend and hunting partner Peter Horn on where and who could help launch this concept for Beretta. Peter quickly signed on and was instrumental in getting the NY Gallery off the ground. They found the building on Madison Avenue, purchased it and renovated it to open it for the Beretta Gallery.
